So I have been a bit slack in blogging – I promised myself this won’t happen but alas … I have not been doing sitting still though.
I went on a felting class – I can now make felt items (well I made one so this kind of qualifies). So my felt ball necklaces will be on the website real soon

I have been a little too quiet for my own good – sorry! As you will know I have gone back to work. I love being back at work (I know it is not normal to say that but I do love it) BUT I am not used to working formal hours again, so most nights I just blob on the couch. It will get easier though
In the meanwhile dots&daisies is still going ahead as your favourite online shop! I went to a market a week ago and it was great to be out and about with my clients and friends and future shoppers.
My products remain colourful and unique and hopefully I will be adding more to it real soon.

This Saturday it is time for the very popular Cape To Cairo African festival in Browns Bay on the North Shore of Auckland. Dots&daisies will be there with a huge exhibit showcasing canvas art, bags, steel flowers, wrought iron products and more. It will be one of our biggest public displays to date – so make sure you come and say hi.
Apart from my stunning stall you will also be able to taste food from around Africa, hear the traditional sounds and see some other products (although not as nice as mine … just kidding).
So if you are in Auckland this weekend – see you there. If not, tell everybody you know that might be in Auckland. It is a great festival with a great vibe.
Just thought I would share with you that I am heading back to the corporate world! I cannot wait to be working in that environment again.

Hope the week is treating you all well this early on. I have been a busy bee – have uploaded some Mongoose products onto the site – exclusively stocked my dots&daisies in NZ and simply stunning! This is one of my favourites:

Speaking of cushions – a glimpse at my new range of handmade goodies for the site. Thanks to my mother-on-law and her friends that made the flowers, and my mum that during her recent visit helped me put it all together, I now have a range of stunning cushions that will brighten any room. This too, will go onto the site later today! These cushions will also be available to buy on felt – cool website full of handmade goodies – worth checking it out.
My next blog will be devoted to furry friends as I have some stunning products coming – I just need to sew on the last few bits tassels and things … yes tassels -luxury beds coming to this blog and to the site!
not only is it Valentine’s day and will the world smother us with pink and red images around every corner (I’m sorry people but you should love that somebody special every day not just on the 14th)
BUT it is also my birthday! I LOOOOOVE birthdays and have a countdown every year. Normally I have a party too but this year I am just planning a quiet day – I will need a quiet day to reply to all the phone calls, txt messages and emails that you all will be sending
February is also a big month for dots&daisies – I am getting the hang of social media marketing – more tips and help always welcome. Have read many books over the last few weeks to boost the site and now need to put them to the test.

Well mum’s been and gone – we made lots of things while she was here – stunning cushions, toys, dog baskets (my dogs each want one but cannot have it) and of course clothes for me. All the new stuff will be on the website by the end of January.
In the meanwhile – if you are in Auckland this coming weekend visit us at the Mission Bay Craft market – this is probably the biggest market in Auckland, and the best, with over 200 stalls. It is on Monday (Auckland Anniversary Day) and it is right on the grassy bit between the shops and the beach – it should be a great great day!

Thank you for all the support and encouragement over the lass few months. Starting a new business from scratch is not for sissies and it has been, an still is, a steep learning curve.
I will not write again until the New Year arrives – with that new ideas and energy and inspiration. So go and enjoy this time of the year with your family and friends and we will talk in a week or so. One of my honorary shareholders will be visiting by then – whoohoo
